Description

To calculate a reasonable number of inhabitants in a town, city or country might be a difficult task. To legitimate a large number of inhabitants and to circumvent aforementioned difficulties the population can be counted based on mapping.

It is quite easy to do so:

1. Add the OpenGeofiction-specific tag "ogf_count:residents=..." with a reasonable number (each number is allowed) to each residential building/block of buildings.
2. Use the "OGF count"-template with "count=residents" to request the population.
3. Additionally, you can add "area=..." to request the population in a specific area and "search1=..." and "search2=..." to refine the request to key/value combinations.
4. Enjoy!

Usage

{{OGF_count
| count   = name of counter {residents, employees, gross value added, passengers, ...}
| area = area where to search
| search1 = search for additional tag with key/value
| search2 = search for additional tag with key/value
}}
